Stillness ("the app") is a meditation timer for iOS. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.
Stillness does not require user accounts, email addresses, names, passwords, or any login. We do not request device location permissions or use advertising frameworks.
The app stores the following data locally on your device. This data is not accessible to us:
You can delete this data at any time by deleting the app from your device.
Stillness uses PostHog to collect anonymised usage data such as which screens are viewed, which features are used, and where users drop off during onboarding. This helps us improve the app experience.
PostHog may process your IP address to determine approximate country-level location for aggregate analytics (e.g. understanding which regions use the app). IP addresses are not stored long-term or used for advertising. PostHog does not collect your name, email address, or other personal information. Stillness uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and analyse anonymised purchase events such as trial starts, conversions, and renewals. RevenueCat receives a random anonymous identifier and purchase receipt data from Apple. It does not receive your name, email, Apple ID, or payment details. If you grant permission, Stillness writes Mindful Minutes to Apple Health after each completed meditation session. This data is written directly to the Health app on your device using Apple's HealthKit framework. Stillness does not read, store, or transmit your health data to any external server. HealthKit data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Granting HealthKit permission is optional. You can revoke it at any time in Settings > Health > Stillness.
Stillness offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions ("Stillness+") processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.
Subscription options:
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
If you grant permission, Stillness may send local notifications to remind you to meditate. These are generated on your device and are not sent through any external server.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Anonymised usage data is processed by PostHog and RevenueCat as described above, solely to improve the app and manage subscriptions.
Stillness does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
